Celebration post for our inaugural short film “Holding” premiering last week at the Oregon Short Film Festival during the largest snowfall Portland has seen since 1943.

Thank you to everyone who brought the first staged reading of ‘The Spells, or, Dude Where’s My Cauldron’ to life! Gratitude this holiday season for the 50+ actors who have read it aloud for us over the last 4 years, as well as our incredible creative team, crew, and this side-splitting cast. Shrunken Shakespeare is now THEE, a non-hierarchical, values-driven theater and film development company focused solely on new works.

Thank you to everyone who has supported, donated, attended shows, and interacted with Shrunken Shakespeare Company over the last 10 years.

Art is not created in a bubble. As a collective we have moved through a seismic shift the last several years, allowing us to make room for a transition that had long been a topic of conversation. The result is the creation of something entirely new, untraditional, and we believe, more sustainable.

With a new name, new mission, new collaborators, and new company structure, we are proud to bring you an ensemble that places democracy, transparency, accessibility, collaboration, and equity front and center.
