Wharton Club of New York The Wharton Club of New York is an extraordinarily powerful tool for Wharton Alumni's business, social, career, and intellectual growth.

The Wharton Club of New York is an independent, not for profit, 501 3C corporation, in NY State and is the official Wharton Alumni Association for the NY Metropolitan Area. The WCNY is an extraordinarily powerful tool for Wharton Alumni's business, social, career, and intellectual growth. There are over 220 volunteers serving the 30,000 alumni in the New York metropolitan area. Volunteers are comm

itted to strengthening the Wharton alumni network and its impact on other alumni. Wharton alumni have a vested interest in expanding the network. Everyone knows you have to "give to get;" and you have to "help to be helped." It is this enlightened self-interest that is the ultimate power of the Wharton community. One of the key elements to the success of this venture is the willingness of alumni to help other alumni.

Wharton for Good: Bridge To Business

Applications are now open for both students and alumni speakers for the 2025-26 session of Bridge To Business โ€“ the free WCNY education, networking, and career development program that offers 10th and 11th grade students aspiring to careers in business the opportunity to learn from and connect with accomplished Wharton graduates.

Students in the program:
-Participate in a series of sessions with professionals from a range of business disciplines, including corporate finance, wealth management, private equity, real estate investment, sports management, and marketing.
-Take workshops in building LinkedIn profiles, resume writing, and internship searches.

The first session recently concluded and included a cohort of roughly 35 students chosen from within the community of Wharton alumni. Students participated in a series of 14 intimate sessions with 19 distinguished Wharton alumni from all corners of the business world.

This year the program will be expanded to also teach underserved high schoolers from Whartonโ€™s home city of Philadelphia and beyond โ€“ students who might not otherwise have access to the insights, mentorship, and connections offered by studying under and interacting with top business leaders. In this way, Bridge To Business is hoping to build a โ€œbridgeโ€ that did not exist before, allowing young people born without familial or financial advantages to cross over into a world that may have once seemed out of reach.

Applications for children and grandchildren of WCNY alumni interested in participating - and for Wharton alumni interested in volunteering as speakers/mentors - can be found at www.bridgetobusiness.org. Deadline is June 15th.
