Hello to the first day of Fall! While the summer may have brought a little sunshine, rest, and relaxation, the Pi Kappa Omega chapter remained committed to the work that matters most—sisterhood and service.

From community service projects and outreach initiatives to fellowship, professional development, chapter activities, and opportunities to pour back into our community, our summer was filled with purpose, connection, and impact. Because when you serve the city that never sleeps, the work never really stops.

The Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Pi Kappa Omega chapter was proud to participate in the 57th Annual African American Day Parade, celebrating culture, community, history, and the enduring spirit of African Americans in New York City. Despite the rain, our sisters showed up with pride, purpose, and sisterhood.

Our chapter joined the NYC Metro Area Stroll Team, bringing the energy to Harlem with a variety of signature strolls.

On Saturday, August 29, members of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® chapter of Pi Kappa Omega gathered for our Annual Retreat. This was truly a day filled with sisterly fellowship, intergenerational connection, reflection, and renewal. 💕💚

From sharing ideas and reflecting on our collective journey to working together, laughing together, and building bonds across generations, we made space to pause, reconnect, and pour back into one another.

With the first half of the year behind us, we’re looking ahead with clarity, purpose, and excitement for all that’s still to come! Together, we’re championing our sisterhood, amplifying our impact, and preparing to finish the year stronger than we started.

Here’s to the rest of 2026 and to 40 years of serving the city that never sleeps!

The Sisterly Relations and Blossoming Pearls Committees enjoyed an afternoon dedicated to what matters most—sisterhood. Over tea and light bites, we stepped away from our usual service commitments to slow down, fellowship, and engage in thoughtful intergenerational conversations.

From shared wisdom to plenty of laughter, the afternoon was a beautiful reminder that the bonds of our sisterhood are strengthened not only through service, but through simply spending time together. Here’s to pouring into one another and creating moments of connection that will last long after the last cup of tea ☕️🩷💚
