TUNESS is a non-profit, apolitical and non-religious association. We realized the need to gather Tunisians living in North America and provide them with means to give back to Tunisia. Its mission is to build a sense of community among Tunisians, help Tunisians in need, promote the Tunisian cultural heritage and leverage Tunisia toward a successful society intellectually, socially and economically.
It pursues the following objectives:
Support and promote socio-economic, empowerment and educational development in Tunisia, in particular -but not limited to the development of the poor and needy
To cooperate with other professional organizations in relation to matters consistent with the by-laws
Bring Tunisians in the U.S. in general together and promote cooperation and mutual assistance of its members by:
Creating a network of its members nationwide
Offering resources, guidance, and help to Tunisians in the USA
Organizing cultural and social events and gatherings catered to the Tunisian community
Act as a think tank and provide intellectual leadership for the Tunisian community in Tunisia and abroad
To establish a Tunisian presence within the Arab community in the USA
To promote and assist the creation of similar chapters of Tunisians in other areas of the USA
