โจ HOPE & COURAGE GALA 2026 โจ
๐ Today is World Ocean Day ๐
This yearโs theme, โReimagine: Beyond the World We Know, A New Relationship With Our Ocean,โ reminds us that transformation begins when we dare to see new possibilities.
That is exactly what the Hope & Courage Gala is about.
๐ Reimagining survivorship.
๐ Reimagining what a small organization can accomplish.
๐ Reimagining how one survivorโs story can inspire thousands.
๐ Reimagining how a small organization with a big heart can create powerful waves of change.
๐ Reimagining community, compassion, and connection through our Circle of Light.
๐ Reimagining a future where hope, healing, and humanity come together to transform lives.
As a two-time breast cancer survivor and Founder of Paddle for the Cure NYC, Leah Salmorin is a voice for survivors and living proof that miracles happen. She survived breast cancer twice, a diabetic coma where she experienced what she describes as being on the other side before waking up on the fourth day, two car accidents, and COVID-19 twice.
That second chance became a callingโto inspire others, advocate for survivors, and create opportunities for healing through community, wellness, and the healing power of water.
As a Filipino-Chinese founder, June 8 holds special meaning. The number 8 symbolizes luck, prosperity, and infinite possibilities. Fittingly, today is June 8, and 2026 marks Paddle for the Cure NYCโs 8th Active Season.
Hosted by Prashant Goyal of Heritage India Fashions, whose mother is a breast cancer survivor, this special evening celebrates courage, resilience, and community. Prashant chose to support Paddle for the Cure NYC because he believes in a mission that is pure, authentic, and dedicated to helping others.
We are a small organization that relies on individual donors like you. We do not receive grants, yet we continue to create programs that bring hope, healing, and support to survivors and their families.
๐ Your ticket is more than admission to a gala.
It is support for survivors.
It is an investment in hope.
It helps keep our programs, outreach, and operations afloat.
It helps bring huge ideas to life and fuels an extraordinary movement built on hope, resilience, and community.
