Congratulations Deborah! A well deserved reward!
Here is what she said of her piece:
๐ฝ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ช๐ฃ๐ง๐๐จ๐ was developed as a reflection of the open spectacular, sunrise and sunset scenes available to all living or visiting the Pacific Coastal region. This piece was developed from an original photograph of a beach scene to showcase the mountains, water and vegetation along with whatever else may wash up onto the beach from elsewhere. From a sketch, the main elements were drawn in pencil onto a ground fabric of linen and then various weights and colours of silk, cotton and metallic threads were used to stitch the major elements to capture the quiet wonder of a beach sunrise and an ancient log from a forest elsewhere.โ
