Storms are hitting tomorrow and Monday and I need to clear these inboxes. Currently, I have 13 outstanding emergency orders other than my usual orders. I can't fill these alone. For perspective, and order costs anywhere from $150-200 with tip and delivery fees. Me and Buffye are up and at it.

This polar vortex is expected to hit the east and south tomorrow and Monday, and there are a lot of requests. Between buying extra groceries, water, salt, and shovels-- and helping people without shelter get into hotels, I can’t do this alone. My budget can't handle extra requests and closed mouths don't get fed.

$20 can buy a snow shovel for someone, $5 can buy a case of water, $50 can help cover one night in a motel for an unhoused family, $150 would handle and order. No amount is too small and it all helps me and Buffye sort and respond to requests. Thank you for putting your trust and dollars in Voix! If you cannot donate, a share and comment helps us too!

Voix Noire thrives because of YOU. Let's be clear. I don’t advertise. I don’t create content. Voix Noire’s success comes entirely from word of mouth—and that’s why shares matter.

I spend about 5 hours a day fundraising. That includes writing grants, making cold calls, sending letters, holding discussions with large donors and meetings with Buffye. It’s necessary work, but it keeps me away from the people and things I love. It even keeps me from the other job I have. In 2025, I want that to change.

I want our current donors and followers to bring more people our way. Tell a friend why you follow Voix Noire. Tell a friend why you donate. Encourage them to become a donor, too. Donations are tax-deductible. It doesn’t take a lot to make a big impact. I have many $1 and $5 recurring donors, and those donors keep the grocery orders going and contraception going out.

But we offer a lot more. Our current services include:

•Free groceries to keep families fed.
•Emergency contraception and daily birth control so folks can have control over their reproductive health.
•Sexual health supplies like STI tests, condoms, and more to help people stay safe.
•Period supplies—pads, tampons, underwear, and even clean water—because no one should have to go without.
•Community drives like our holiday wishlist, school supplies, and Thanksgiving support.
•Help with urgent needs when life throws unexpected challenges your way.

This is what Voix does for Black MaGes and kids. Voix is here, doing the work, making sure folks have what they need to get by and get ahead. There is no overhead besides resources, supplies, subscriptions and memberships etc. I do not take a salary. I

Why am I telling you? What I need is more solid, consistent donors—the kind who understand why this work matters, the kind I don’t have to educate from scratch. If Voix Noire has made an impact on you, help me find others who believe in what Voix is doing.

The incoming administration poses a threat to already marginalized communities. Now more than ever, we must double down on collective care. This Giving Tuesday, help Voix Noire reach our goal to continue providing essential, life-saving resources to Black MaGes and families—completely FREE.

Your one-time or recurring donation ensures that critical supplies like water, groceries, emergency contraception, daily contraception, sexual health supplies, period products, and masks remain accessible to those who need them most. At the heart of what we do is our Universal Basic Income and Groceries Program. This program delivers $300 in cash and $300 in groceries to individuals every month for three months—because no one should have to choose between feeding their family and keeping the lights on.

When you give to Voix Noire, you aren’t just making a donation—you’re taking an active role in dismantling poverty, reducing harm, and building real safety nets for marginalized communities. Together, we can meet the growing need and stand firm against systems that fail our people.

I’m exhausted. Every election, every crisis, every disappointment—it’s the same. White women ask me for guidance, for solutions. But the truth is, I’m tired. White people, it's time to step up and take meaningful action.

If you’re not a monthly donor yet, now’s the time to become one. Your donations are tax-deductible and make a real difference. If you’re already donating, drop a comment below—and bring someone new with you. Recruit one person. We need steady support for essentials: birth control, clean water, period supplies, groceries, and our Universal Basic Income Program. These things aren’t free or easy to come by.
