Dušan Vlahović has started his new adventure at Beşiktaş with a clear promise: to give everything for the Turkish club and its passionate supporters.

The Serbian striker arrived in Istanbul after bringing his time at Juventus to an end, and he was visibly moved by the incredible welcome from thousands of Beşiktaş fans.

“I was emotional because I have never seen this kind of love before. I will give everything for the Beşiktaş fans.”

Simple words, but powerful ones from a player looking for both a sporting and emotional revival.

Vlahović was welcomed as one of the biggest names to arrive in the Turkish league, with supporters following his arrival from the airport and turning it into a genuine football event. 🇷🇸🔥

The Serbian also spoke about his happiness and pride at beginning this new chapter. He knows he has been brought in to lead the attack and understands the responsibility that comes with the expectations at a club like Beşiktaş.

After his relationship with Juventus gradually deteriorated, the move to Turkey gives Vlahović a fresh start - and the chance to once again become the central figure of an ambitious team.

A new league. A new club. A new beginning for Vlahović. ⚫️⚪️

Manchester United legend Patrice Evra believes the Red Devils should do everything possible to sign Victor Osimhen, especially with Benjamin Šeško currently being their only natural No. 9.

Speaking to GOAL about what United still need before the transfer window closes, Evra said:

“A striker, someone who scores goals. I think that’s what I’m seeing. That’s why, for me, Osimhen is the best. He’s a perfect example.”

Evra also highlighted other areas of the squad. He admitted United could miss Casemiro, but believes Andrey Santos has shown enough during pre-season to make an impact.

He also backed Bruno Fernandes, while pointing to Patrick Dorgu, Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo as attacking options already available to the team.

Defensively, Evra believes United could still strengthen at left-back and potentially add another centre-back. He also praised Harry Maguire for his consistency despite the criticism he has received.

But his biggest message is clear:

Manchester United need a proven goalscorer - and Evra believes Victor Osimhen is the perfect answer. 👀🔴

Manchester United legend Gary Neville did not take the Red Devils’ defeat to Ruben Amorim’s Milan side well at all.

According to journalist David Ornstein, Neville said:

“I actually like the way the game ended because it should be a wake-up call for the Manchester United board. They need to sign high-quality players before the season starts.

United lost to a Milan side that hasn’t won its last three games. That is a huge disgrace, and the club isn’t making any moves to sign anyone.

If they don’t want to bring Manchester United back to the top, they should sell the club to someone who truly has United at heart.”

Strong words from the former United defender, who believes the club urgently needs reinforcements if it wants to return to the top. 🔥

Ardon Jashari showed his true level against Manchester United, delivering an impressive performance in Milan’s final friendly before the start of the season.

The Swiss midfielder played with confidence, led the team with a high-intensity performance and also followed the pressing demands of the new tactical setup. After the match, Jashari spoke about his form, Milan’s progress and the possibility of playing alongside Luka Modrić.

Asked about his performance, Jashari said:

“I’m happy with my performance, but also with the win and the team’s performance. I think we’re on the right path and playing well as a group. We still have some details to improve because it’s going to be a long season.”

On the team’s new style:

“Every day we spend together, in training and in matches, we can improve. We know how the coach wants us to play, and although you obviously can’t implement everything overnight, we’re working hard to make it happen.”

Jashari also admitted he felt particularly good on the pitch against United:

“If the team plays well, then I can show my qualities on the pitch. I’m happy with my performance, but I know I can improve in some areas to reach my best form.”

And when asked about playing alongside Luka Modrić, Jashari was full of praise:

“Playing with Luka is fantastic. He is one of the best players in the world and sharing the pitch with him is incredible. We played 30 minutes together against Inter and I think we showed there that we can play alongside each other.”

Could Jashari and Modrić become Milan’s new midfield partnership? 👀🔴⚫️

Al-Hilal are reportedly considering ending their partnership with Karim Benzema this summer, according to Saudi journalist Ahmad.

The Saudi club could offer the French striker a financial settlement to terminate his contract, but only if they can first sign another forward capable of delivering goals.

The reports come just one day after Benzema reacted angrily to being substituted in the 70th minute during Al-Hilal’s 4-2 victory over Al-Faisaly in the opening game of the Saudi league season.

Head coach Simone Inzaghi defended the Frenchman, saying his reaction was natural for a striker who wants to stay on the pitch.

Benzema joined Al-Hilal as a free agent during the winter after terminating his contract with Al-Ittihad. Since his arrival, the former Real Madrid striker has made 14 appearances in all competitions, scoring 10 goals and providing 5 assists.

Despite those impressive numbers, his future at the club remains uncertain.

Everything could depend on whether Al-Hilal can find a suitable replacement in attack. 🔥

Patience is the key. To complete the final moves of the transfer window, Inter must first find solutions for the players who are no longer part of the club’s plans.

One of the names most appreciated by the Nerazzurri is Curtis Jones. The Liverpool midfielder would bring a different profile to Inter’s midfield, adding new qualities and more options to the team.

Meanwhile, Luis Henrique’s situation still needs to be resolved. Following the arrival of Spence, the Brazilian could have less playing time on the right, while on the left he faces strong competition from Dimarco and Carlos Augusto.

Last season, Henrique made 43 appearances in all competitions, playing 2,253 minutes. His departure this summer cannot be ruled out.

Roma continue to appreciate the Brazilian, although their current priority is to find a more attacking player for Gasperini.

If Luis Henrique leaves, Inter could have the funds needed to approach Liverpool and meet their demands for Curtis Jones. And that may not be all: the Nerazzurri could also look for a low-cost wing-back capable of playing on both sides and giving Chivu’s team more attacking options.

For now, these remain transfer-market scenarios. But one thing is clear: Luis Henrique’s future could be the key to Inter’s final moves of the summer.

Germany’s Euro 2028 Plan Could Include a Transfer Strategy Around Its Young Stars

Germany are looking to build a new generation of talent ahead of Euro 2028, with several promising young players attracting attention from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

Jürgen Klopp is widely regarded as a highly influential figure for German football, and reports have suggested that the development and club situations of several young German players could be important for the national team’s future.

Four names currently stand out:

Finn Jeltsch (Stuttgart): The young centre-back is regarded as one of Germany’s most promising defensive talents. Reports suggest that a move to Bayern Munich could be an option in the future, potentially as early as next summer. Jeltsch has been compared with former Germany defender Mats Hummels, while his reported market value is around €50 million.

Felix Nmecha (Borussia Dortmund): The midfielder has continued to attract attention following his performances on the international stage. With a reported valuation of around €80-90 million, Nmecha has reportedly attracted interest from Premier League clubs. A move abroad could potentially offer another opportunity for him to develop at the highest level.

Another promising midfielder is Tom Bischof, who is already at Bayern Munich. The 20-year-old is expected to receive more opportunities in Munich as he continues his development.

Said El Mala (Köln): The young winger has emerged as another exciting prospect in German football. Dortmund have reportedly been linked with him, while Bayern Munich could also be an option in the future. His current market value is reportedly estimated at around €50-55 million.

Nicolo Tresoldi (Club Brugge): Germany have been looking for a reliable central striker, and Tresoldi is considered one of the young forwards who could potentially fill that role. The forward, who has Italian heritage, has reportedly attracted interest from several Premier League clubs as well as Barcelona.

With Euro 2028 approaching, Germany will be hoping that its emerging talents continue to develop and establish themselves at the highest level.

Whether any of these players eventually make the reported moves remains to be seen, but their development could become an important part of Germany’s plans for the next European Championship.

Chelsea Set £60m Asking Price for Nicolas Jackson as Transfer Interest Grows

Nicolas Jackson could leave Chelsea this summer, with several European clubs reportedly monitoring the Senegalese striker.

Jackson has emerged as a potential departure from Stamford Bridge, but Chelsea’s asking price appears to be making negotiations more difficult.

According to French outlet RMC, Chelsea are seeking around £60 million (approximately €69 million) for the 24-year-old forward.

The reported valuation has reportedly made a potential deal more complicated for interested clubs, with Aston Villa previously exploring the possibility of signing Jackson on loan.

Aston Villa and Tottenham are among the clubs linked with the Senegal international, while Atlético Madrid are also said to be monitoring the situation.

Atlético are reportedly waiting to see whether Chelsea will lower their asking price or maintain their current valuation.

A potential transfer could offer benefits to both sides. Jackson could have the opportunity to take on a bigger role and receive more playing time at a new club, while Chelsea could make changes to their attacking options and receive a significant transfer fee.

For now, however, Jackson’s future remains uncertain, with Chelsea’s reported £60 million asking price likely to be an important factor in any negotiations.

Rising Fuel Costs Lead Italian Gardener to Return to Horseback Travel

As fuel prices continue to rise, an Italian gardener has found an unusual alternative to using his car: travelling on horseback.

Massimiliano Accetturo, 56, lives in Rocchetta Sant’Antonio, a small village among the Daunian Mountains in the province of Foggia, southern Italy.

With the cost of filling one of his cars reaching around €180, according to his own account, Accetturo has increasingly chosen to travel with his mare, Maja.

He rides the horse to work, visits the dentist and has even travelled for hundreds of kilometres along historic livestock routes, showing that an old-fashioned form of transportation can still have a place in modern life.

According to Italian news agency ANSA, the increase in fuel prices has encouraged the gardener to leave his car at home more often and return to a method of travel that does not require fuel.

“It costs around €180 to fill the tank of one of my cars,” Accetturo told ANSA.

He says that, when compared with the costs of feeding and caring for a horse, travelling this way can offer significant savings.

His connection with horses also has deep family roots. His passion for the animals was passed down from his great-grandfather, who traded horses with the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, and continued through his grandfather and father.

Accetturo spent around 20 years working as a gardener in Rimini while maintaining his connection with horses. When he returned to his hometown in 2020, he brought eight horses with him, which he now keeps at stables near his home.

For Accetturo, however, riding is no longer simply a hobby.

“In recent months, I have been travelling to work by horse because of the increase in prices,” he said.

His journeys are not limited to short trips. He has travelled as far as Pescasseroli over the course of nine days and regularly moves between Puglia, Campania and Basilicata for his gardening work.

Beyond the financial aspect, Accetturo says that travelling this way gives him a sense of freedom and a connection with an earlier way of life.

“It is beautiful to return to the old ways. It is a priceless feeling,” he said, while also emphasising the importance of caring for the animal.

His story offers an unusual example of how tradition, personal choice and rising living costs can influence the way people travel.

Some Manchester United supporters have questioned Bruno Fernandes’ performance following the team’s 4-2 pre-season defeat to AC Milan on Saturday evening.

The United captain came under criticism from a section of the club’s fanbase after missing a penalty with the score at 1-1. It was his second penalty miss in a week, following his earlier miss against Leeds on August 12.

Fernandes, who was named Premier League Player of the Season last season, remains an important part of Manchester United’s squad. However, some supporters believe the team could benefit from changes to its playing style and tactical approach.

One fan wrote that United had looked more comfortable in their previous pre-season matches, particularly in terms of possession and controlling the game, before suggesting that Fernandes’ return had changed the team’s approach.

Another supporter questioned whether United’s tactical system is best suited to Fernandes, arguing that they would prefer a more structured and possession-focused style of play.

A third fan defended Fernandes’ ability but suggested that the captain should rely more on his teammates and share responsibility in attack rather than trying to create everything himself.

Another supporter called for the club to consider its options regarding Fernandes, pointing to concerns about possession and tactical discipline rather than focusing solely on his missed penalty.

A further fan also criticised his performance against Milan, highlighting the missed penalty and several unsuccessful long passes.

The comments reflect the frustration of some supporters following the defeat and do not represent the views of the entire Manchester United fanbase.

Despite the criticism, there is currently no indication that Manchester United are looking to sell their captain. Fernandes, 31, remains under contract with the club until 2027.
