NYC Service has announced a 21% increase in fulfilled donations for its 16th Annual Secret Snowflake in-kind donation drive — driven in part by a 42% increase in private sector employee engagement.
This year, 49 businesses and more than 5,700 private-sector employees, mayoral staff, and members of the diplomatic community collaborated to deliver essential items and holiday gifts to 8,799 children and teens living in temporary and public housing across New York City.
The continued growth of this initiative reflects the strength of cross-sector collaboration. When government agencies, corporations, nonprofit organizations, and international partners align around a shared mission, the impact is measurable and meaningful.
Since its launch in 2009, Secret Snowflake has become a model for effective public-private partnership — demonstrating how strategic coordination, operational improvements, and sustained engagement can uplift vulnerable youth at scale.
At TN News, we recognize and commend NYC Service and its partners for setting a strong example of civic leadership and corporate social responsibility.
