🟣 Kocaeli Sanayi Odası öncülüğünde, Kadın Girişimciler Kurulu ve Beba Vakfı iş birliğiyle hayata geçirilen “Girişimcilik ve İş Yönetimi Akademisi” eğitimleri 28 Nisan’da ikinci modülüyle devam ediyor.

📅 21 Nisan 2026 – 9 Haziran 2026 tarihleri arasında haftada bir gün online (Zoom) platformu üzerinden 15.00 – 17.00 saatleri arasında düzenlenen eğitimler toplam sekiz modülden oluşuyor.

We were at the NYU SPS Tisch Center of Hospitality HI HUB Incubator Pitch Day 2026 this week as one of the judges. The event is designed to connect students with investors and industry professionals, and showcases innovative entrepreneurial ideas from the HI Hub cohort, featuring pitches for business models, marketing strategies, and financial plans, with a $20,000 funding prize. Congratulations once again to our winner - Bakhtawer Baloch with her business Clairdoc who took away the grand prize.

7th Annual StudentPreneur Conference at Mercy University is officially in the books. This also marked our 5th year of collaboration as we have been sponsoring this important event that aims to foster entrepreneurship through new business ideas among Mercy University students.

We had a total of 29 submissions this year and the finalist five student teams pitched their proposals to a panel of industry experts and business leaders. We celebrate all of our participants and future business leaders, with special recognition to this year’s winners: Nadia Alghazaly - Navera (first place), Xavier Harris & Calvin Garricks - RagePad (second place), and Zahara Acevedo & Amare Brathwaite - Fresh Out of the Box (third place). As the first place winner, Nadia will go on to represent Mercy in the Global Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization’s 43rd Global Conference & Pitch Competition in Tampa Florida.

We’d like to extend our gratitude to President Susan L. Parish, Dean Victor Petenkemani, Prof. Robert F. Bohn, Sofia CIALICU and all the rest of the faculty and admin at Mercy University for their leadership, support and unwavering commitment to creating an exceptional ecosystem for entrepreneurship through such initiatives. We are honored to be a part of this family and effort for the past 5 years.

We would also like to thank our fellow judges, Elena Rivera-Cheek (C&A Digital), Andrew Boryk (Lunchbox), Deborah Schondorf Novick (Westchester County Office of Economic Development), and Phillip Grant (Phillip Grant & Associates) for their participation and commitment over the years. It takes a village to make these events a success and a lot of sweat equity is required to make it happen!

We do this through 3 key activity pillars: Trainings/Education, Mentoring/Career Counseling and Business Idea Competitions/Networking. Bilkent Üniversitesi İşletme Fakültesi ile bu sene 3.sünü gerçekleştireceğimiz Bilkentpreneurs Challenge için proje başvuruları devam ediyor. Tüm Bilkent ve Ankara’daki diğer üniversite öğrencilerine açık olan bu iş fikri yarışması toplum ve çevreye anlamlı değer yaratan yenilikçi ürünler, teknolojiler veya hizmetler sunan iş fikirlerini değerlendiriyor.

Bu sene toplam $10bin para ödülü dağıtılacak yarışma sayesinde öğrenciler, fikir geliştirme, pazar analizi ve sorumlu inovasyon alanlarında uygulamalı deneyim kazanarak, geleceğin etki yaratan girişimcileri olmaya hazırlanacaklar.
