People ask why I don't post everyday. Progress isn't measured by noise, but by impact. Sometimes the biggest acts of generosity are done in silence, no cameras, no posts, straight from the soul. Human to human.

So there it is, 2026 getting ready to be placed on top of a building in Times Square so we could count down the end of 2025 and start the New Year. Personally, I think the 6 looks off.

I hope this message finds everyone well. As many of you know, The NYPAA is currently closed for our winter recess since December 21, 2024, through January 25, 2025. During this period, I have been traveling nationwide to conduct auditions for prospective students. I recently returned from Los Angeles, where I witnessed firsthand the destruction and devastation caused by ongoing crises and had to prepare for a potential evacuation during my stay.

It has come to my attention that some individuals have attempted to contact me and/or our staff via WhatsApp or other unofficial channels. Please be reminded that WhatsApp groups are solely intended for student community-building purposes and are not recognized as official communication platforms for the Academy. While I always welcome your questions, I respectfully request that you use our authorized channels so we can respond efficiently and maintain accurate records:

Telephone: +1 212-457-4060
General Email: [email protected]
Direct Email to Me: [email protected]
Website Contact Form: https://thenypaa.org/contact-us/

We understand some individuals have voiced frustration about not being able to reach me via unauthorized means, particularly during our official closure. It honestly does boggle my mind that people can believe that you are to be at their immediate beck and call when they want to speak to you using unauthorized channels during a closure. However, the Academy’s closure means our offices and staff are NOT available for regular operations, and we MUST rely on our established communication channels to ensure fairness and timeliness.

Given recent public expressions of frustration, I have decided to shorten my travels and personally address any pending inquiries effective immediately. Please note that our staff remains on recess, and I am not asking them to return at this time. I appreciate your patience and cooperation during our winter break, and I look forward to resuming normal operations on January 25, 2025.

For those who understand our current situation, thank you for your understanding and for respecting the Academy’s procedures. We look forward to continuing our important work together in the new year.

Reach out to The New York Performing Arts Academy for inquiries or assistance. Visit our offices or studios, or use the contact form to get in touch.
