SIPA Israel Delegation is a student-led initiative that brings the most international and diverse group of future leaders from Columbia University to Israel. We provide the students with a nuanced, hands-on learning experience, in order to create a legacy of Columbia University graduate students’ engagement with Israel and the region, which will complement, challenge and enrich their graduate educ
ation. SIPA Israel Delegation on Policy and Innovation
The Policy and Innovation Delegation offers participants the opportunity to build an understanding of the political challenges and opportunities in diverse societies and in conflict areas, as well as explore ways in which innovation can be leveraged to solve social problems and help bridge the gap between different sectors of society.
2017 Delegations:
1.The SIPA Israel Delegation is sponsored through Israel & Co., and Israeli non profit. The design of the trip is constructed by SIPA student volunteers who also lead the Delegation in Israel with the help of a local tour guide.
2. SIPA Israel Delegation on Environmental Leadership
The Environmental Leadership Delegation provides participants exposure to unique sustainability management issues. Participants will meet environmental thought leaders tackling landscape challenges, learn environmental policy efforts already in place, and brainstorm new sustainability solutions. Transboundary water issues, resource management and disputes, energy and wildlife conservation, environmental technology - all experienced through the lens of the unique and complex geopolitics of the region.
