The MTA is Hiring Auto Mechanics & Mechanic's Helpers!

Join the MTA for a hiring event featuring career opportunities for Auto Mechanics and Mechanic's Helpers, with same-day testing available for qualified candidates.

Date: Sunday, November 1, 2026
Time: 9AM– 2PM

What You Need to Know

Eligibility: Automotive mechanic experience and/or education required for admission.

Testing: Same-day assessments take approximately 3–4 hours. Admission is first-come, first-served.

What to Bring: A driver's license valid in New York State and two printed copies of your resume.

Travel Advisory: Public transportation is recommended due to Marathon Day traffic.
