What is Digital Grandparents? Digital Grandparents, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization committed to providing older adults with access to the wonders of computers and the Internet.

Our free programs seek to open up the world of Internet communication, social media, news and information, online shopping and games, photo-sharing and editing, and more to the growing segment of older adults who struggle with or wish to improve their skills with this new technology.

We help older adults enrich their lives by enabling them to connect with people and explore the world from their living room chairs.

Nearly everything happens online! From booking doctor’s appointments to staying in touch with family. But for many older adults, navigating the digital landscape is overwhelming. Without basic tech skills, many seniors feel isolated, disconnected, and unable to access important services on their devices. That’s where Digital Grandparents comes in!

In 2008, Bobby Steinbach was inspired to start this nonprofit when his grandmother struggled to stay connected after losing her husband. She had basic computer skills but found it hard to manage things like email, online shopping, and staying in touch with family. Bobby’s personal experience with helping her, sparked the idea for Digital Grandparents. Now, we’re on a mission to help as many seniors as possible feel confident using technology. Help us continue the mission by making a donation, today!
