...🌿 What’s on the menu? GREENS!

As our hens continue to grow and produce, good nutrition matters too! 🐔🥚

Fresh greens are an important addition to their diet, providing variety alongside their regular feed. By chopping and mixing the greens into their food, every hen gets her share.

It’s another reminder that our poultry project is about more than eggs. It’s about creating a healthy, sustainable cycle: nourishing the hens so they can help nourish the children. 💚

🥚 45 EGGS TODAY. AND THIS WEEK, THEY’RE HEADED TO THE KIDS.

What started as a vision for a more sustainable way to nourish the children we serve is becoming real, one egg at a time.

Today, our poultry project in Uganda produced 45 eggs in a single day! 🎉

And here’s the part that matters most: the children should be eating some of these eggs this week. ❤️

This is exactly why LAHU-USA invested in the poultry project. Eggs can provide a valuable source of protein for the children while increased production can ultimately help create a more sustainable model in which the farm supports the School Lunch Program and generates income that can be reinvested into the community.

Just recently, we were celebrating our first 3 eggs. Now we’re at 45 in one day. That’s progress you can see. And soon, it will be nourishment the children can eat.

To everyone who donated, attended the Harlem BBQ for a Cause, shared our story, or continues to support LAHU-USA: this is what your support is helping make possible.

🥚 From chickens.
🍽️ To eggs.
❤️ To children’s plates.
🌱 To a more sustainable future.

And we’re just getting started.
