Hello, all!
My name is Marisa and I'm involved in the Tomorrow's Leaders network with the Greater NY Chapter. I recently received an Impact Grant by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to develop a community program to help support the care, mental health, and well-being of members of the CF community. I'm eager to connect and to share information about CF: Community Footprints. I hope you may consider joining the project or helping to spread the word to folks in your own TL/CF network.
First, a little about the program: CF: Community Footprints is a six-week virtual workshop to strength community connections through facilitated movement experiences, writing, and reflection. There are several program tracks for youth ages 10-18, adults (19+), as well as a track for friends/family/caregivers of those living with CF. The project culminates in a collaborative dance piece that can also be performed - if desired - by participants at an outdoor event on Friday, June 21 in Brooklyn! The sessions are an exchange of stories and participants need NO previous dance/movement experience, just a willingness to explore! Movements can be approached through simple gestures or larger, full-bodied movement - the program is inclusive of all bodies and abilities, and all are truly welcome. Virtual Q&A sessions will be held April 23 & April 24 and the program will officially begin on Tuesday, April 30.

CF: Community Footprints, is a free creative residency which uses conversation, reflection, and collaborative art making to spark meaningful connections between people. By engaging with their personal histories or “scar stories,” participants will have a transformative experience creating new perspectives while acknowledging previous experiences as valuable and meaningful parts of us.
Hope you can join us or help to spread the word!
