✨ Flashback Friday ✨Smiling as we reflect on this unforgettable evening at the Annual Salute to Women in Sports.

Thank you to the Women’s Sports Foundation and for believing in the power of girls through sport and for supporting organizations like Run4Fun. Your investment creates opportunities that extend far beyond the finish line.

These photos feature our two incredible young women whose journeys remind us why this work matters.

💙 Leah often reflects that when she first joined Run4Fun in middle school, she was incredibly quiet and didn’t have much confidence in herself. Today, she is a Run4Fun youth mentor and leader, competed on her high school’s co-ed wrestling team, advocated at the New York State Capitol in Albany for increased access to STEM education, was a Posse Foundation semifinalist, and this fall will attend Hobart and William Smith Colleges on scholarship.

💛 Max joined Run4Fun when she was just 8 years old. Today, she is a Run4Fun coach and mentor, broke three high school track records, received her school’s Track Leadership Award, and was nominated for the Posse Foundation Scholarship with Run4Fun’s recommendation.

Their words say it best:

“Being a leader isn’t about being the fastest or the loudest. It’s about showing up for people and helping them see they’re capable of more than they think.” — Leah

“Being part of Run4Fun has taught me the importance of chosen family. Running with Run4Fun has enabled me to form long-lasting and meaningful friendships, ultimately enhancing my mental well-being.” — Max

Leah and Max continue to inspire all of us at Run4Fun. Their journeys remind us that when young people are supported, encouraged, and given opportunities to lead, there is no limit to what they can achieve. Thank you, and , for believing in girls and helping make stories like theirs possible.

We’re grateful to HITLAB for inviting our Founder & Executive Director, , LMSW, to speak at the HITLAB Fall Innovators Summit (Dec 2–4, 2025) at the Microsoft Tech Center in NYC—and honored that Run4Fun was selected as the Summit’s Charity Partner. 💙

A special thank you to Jerry Antimano and the HITLAB team. Jerry completed the 2025 TCS NYC Marathon as a charity runner for Run4Fun and is still fundraising to support our evidence-based, trauma-informed SEL program—strengthening youth mental health through running + play in a healing, safe, inclusive space. ✨

One of the most meaningful moments was hearing our youth leaders Max and Leah share their voices and leadership at the Summit. Their stories remind us: when young people have consistent spaces rooted in safety, belonging, and caring relationships, they can heal, grow, thrive, and step into leadership.

💛 Support Run4Fun by donating to Jerry’s post-marathon fundraiser — link in bio.
