Shout-out to DJ/Dancer/BBoy Ze Motion for dedicating his Vinyl Renaissance show to Remembering Ai Ikeda, October 6, 2021, on BBOX Radio Brooklyn. Great music, Ze! Here’s some of what I said about Ai on Ze's show:
"Ai Ikeda reached for the sky in her life as a supreme artist—as dancer and martial artist. She built upon her dance training in ballet in Japan, and found her great voice as a performer in New York City.
Ai worked with intense focus and had a meticulous eye for detail. She demanded of herself the highest standards of practice and artistry. We remember Ai for her fearlessness, and her continual striving to always be better. Ai’s KI energy was like a powerful light beam zapping us upward."

Ai, beam down on us now, as we honor you and cherish all of your gifts you shared with us who worked with you, and for all who were able to be lucky enough to witness your brilliance.
