đŸ«°Let's end Women's History Month with a potluck cupping!đŸ«°

This event is hosted by the wonderful collective & is open to everyone. Attendees are (please!) asked to bring a coffee that is positively impacted by women. From producer to roaster, there are so many amazing coffees out there & even more amazing women who make it possible for us to enjoy them.

Before we cup the coffees, we'll go around the room & ask each person who brought something to briefly introduce us to the women behind that coffee! Maybe we can even do a swap at the end so everyone can go home with a new-to-you coffee.

Any new roasters we learn about who are buying women-produced coffees will be added to our "Coffee Roasters who buy Women-Produced" spreadsheet (accessible on our site).

Expect to celebrate women in many different roles, taste some delicious coffees, & chat with folks who care about visibility for women in coffee. What better way to wrap Women's History Month than celebrate the folks who center women all the rest of the year?

DM with any questions, & share with anyone you think would love to join!

We're continuing Women's History Month celebrations with a public tasting & local roaster showcase!

It's exciting & important to hear from a variety of roasters about why sourcing women grown coffee is important to them. Learning how other folks balance business & values is inspirational to me (the world needs more success stories that we CAN do that well!) - but at the end of the day, it's equally important to put ourselves to the side to center & celebrate the women who make coffee possible. Join us to taste & enjoy women grown coffee!

We'll be featuring coffees from .coffee .

The event is this Sunday 3/24 from 11-1pm, and is open to all. Thanks to for hosting in their beautiful Soho space!

Celebrate International ☕ Day with us by attendingÂ đŸ’«Targeting Producer Prosperity through For-Profit Business ModelsđŸ’«Â next Monday 10/2 at 12pm EST.

Next Monday we will be joined by INDUSTRY LEGENDS Ruth Ann Church, Jeanine Niyonzima-Aroian, and Phyllis Johnson to discuss what we can learn from for-profit businesses that have maximizing producer prosperity built into their DNA.

This is going to be an incredible opportunity to really understand and visualize tangible expressions of gender equity in business.

🎉La Molienda is back!

💌We may have skipped a year, but we learned a lot this year about the value of community, so we decided to bring back this women-powered gift exchange. It's a way to start 2023 with gender equity top of mind and celebrate women-powered coffee.

🎁La Molienda is a Secret-Santa-style gift exchange—except all you can gift each other is a bag of roasted coffee that was produced by women.

🔎Why “Molienda”? It's the Spanish word for "grinder." One of the last legs in the long journey of coffee, the grinder unifies. We put coffee beans of slightly different shapes and sizes in, and what comes out is a much more homogeneous whole. All the care, work, and people represented in those wee little beans—this is where it all starts coming together for the final transformation into powerful beverage.

How does it work?
1ïžâƒŁIt doesn’t cost anything to sign up, but by doing so you commit to buying and shipping a bag of coffee produced by women to someone else!
2ïžâƒŁWhen the sign-up deadline ends on January 6, 2023, DĂa de los Reyes, you will receive a message with the name and address of another participant.
3ïžâƒŁThen, use any method you prefer to send that person a bag of coffee! You can buy local or online—and if you need help with where to start, you can check out a database we created for just that purpose.

To sign up and read more about it, check the link in our bio.

đŸ«ą(The first time we did it, we didn’t know exactly what we were doing, so this time it’s back and better than ever. Participating in this year’s exchange automatically enters you into a raffle to win 1 of 3 prizes! Stay tuned for more on those prizes...)

â€ïžâ€đŸ”„You DON’T. EVEN. KNOW. how much chingon is in our food vendor partner for this Friday—the couple behind , Colby and Jennypher!

â€ïžâ€đŸ”„I met Colby through the coffee community in his days manejando the madness of the catering slash pop-up business model of . His energy and perspective was contagious — no such thing as a problem because there’s always a creative solution around every corner. He was encouraging and kind throughout an otherwise chaotic and high volume corner of the industry, a character trait he and his partner Jennypher share.

â€ïžâ€đŸ”„They have always loved culture, mindfulness, and intentionally plant-based living and eating, and ended up making their passion visible and accessible through Cafe Moca in Bushwick. These fierce souls are thriving, they even opened a second location in the pandemic! How poderosxs, juntxs, fuertes, y sin miedo is that?!?!

â€ïžâ€đŸ”„We are so excited and grateful that Cafe Moca will be our food vendor partner for the CHINGONXS IN COFFEE party tomorrow night, it’s going to be so tasty! Getting pumped? Get your tickets for Friday through the link in our bio!

â€ïžâ€đŸ”„This party on Friday is all about celebrating the badass within—and I can’t think of anyone who better fits that badass energy than Emily and Megan, founders of Til Death].

â€ïžâ€đŸ”„I met them earlier this year through a really unfortunate circumstance, the fire at the . They were quick to adapt, learn a new roasting machine and heat technology basically overnight, and were inspirationally communicative, kind, and uplifting to everyone around them even though it was a really tough spot to be in. We are so lucky to benefit from the space and community they’ve created using that energy at Til Death! Can’t wait to hang out in the realest corner of Bushwick this weekend with these realest womxn in coffee.

â€ïžâ€đŸ”„Have you snapped up your tickets for Friday’s party CHINGONXS IN COFFEE? We could not be more excited! It’s this Friday, 10/7 from 11-7pm at . Tickets in bio!

â€ïžâ€đŸ”„We are so lucky to collaborate with chingonxs in the making of this event. Today we’re highlighting - who we met through this platform! One of our amazing followers suggested we connect and we are so impressed and inspired by the work being done by Eimi and Eric. They’re truly creating the change they want to see in the world of spirits—visibility, value, and representation are embedded in everything they do, something that is truly radical and incredibly necessary for their industry. Mil gracias to them for everything they do for social equity in the beverage industry!

â€ïžâ€đŸ”„Come out to the party to taste their new coffee rum, made with coffee from producers in the Chiapas region of Mexico where distilling and distribution for their rums begin. There’s also going to be a chance for a lovely lucky fulanx to win a bottle of the COFFEE RUM to take home as a raffle prize! Buena suerte!
