Trans Music Archive x Vintage Synthesizer Museum Residency 2026, Los Angeles

During the development of SOS, we staged rehearsals inside a party we created at Glasslands in Brooklyn. The crowd, music, cameras, and performers occupied the same space. Scenes were tested and recomposed in the middle of the party.

We explored rehearsal as something partially illegible, unfolding inside liminal q***r social space where performance, gathering, and spectacle were difficult to separate. We wanted the rehearsal process to infect the final performance, not the final performance to mimic the rehearsal.

Archival material from SOS (2008–2010).

Revisited as part of our ongoing research for the Big Art Group book, forthcoming 2027.
