Harambee USA Foundation supports a Golden Boots Uganda program that provides training and character building to disabled and abled marginalized young adults. “The Soft Skills For Jobs through Sport Project” introduces and integrates soft skills to 15 vocational institutions through sports and physical exercise to help young people be more employable.

This year, Harambee USA Foundation is supporting a school for the deaf-mute in Lulimba, DR Congo. There is a high rate of illiteracy among deaf-mute children, as there is no educational system in place to address their special needs. This private school provides that education to help them thrive and become productive citizens

Happy Easter! Harambee USA has been supporting Forfait Mama, a program in Monkole Hospital of D.R. Congo, with the goal of reducing infant and maternal mortality rates through the care of mothers in the districts of Herady, Kimbondo and Kindele. The services provided include pre-natal consultation all the way to birth and post natal care.

Harambee USA has supported the Gibellini school in the Diocese of Homa Bay which works with neglected children, particularly those who are HIV-positive. The school supports the children’s emotional, mental, and social well-being by providing education, skills training, and health programs. It seeks to build and operate a chicken farm to help meet strong local demand for poultry products while generating income and creating jobs for some recent graduates.

In 2022, Harambee USA Foundation funded a school for girls in Tanzania. New desktops were purchased to help the students with computer literacy.

On Oct 27, 2023, Harambee held its annual international board meeting in Rome to discuss Africa’s needs and pick projects to fund. At the Campidoglio Capitolio, experts and politicians expressed their desire and optimism about development in Africa
