The Wadena Lions helped with vision screenings today. Over 270 students were screened. We certainly appreciate their help as it makes the process a little smoother. I also had an M-State student Macie join in on the FUN!!

Meet the incoming class at the University of Minnesota. 🎓 These seven assistance dogs in training officially moved onto campus. Through the FETCH (Fostering Education Through Campus Hosting) program, selected college students will help raise and train these dogs this semester. In addition to living with the dogs in their dorm rooms, the students will also attend bi-monthly training classes, take the dogs on outings, and continue working on basic obedience.

Our Histology Core Manager Heidi Röhrich prepares slides and images for researchers, in partnership with Histology lab at the University of Minnesota’s Vision Core facility. She cuts tissue sections thinner than a human hair, is constantly adapting to changes in research and enjoys the small surprises she encounters each day.
