How have your cultural experiences shaped your leadership? 💜

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, we asked the Women in Toys, Licensing and Entertainment community to reflect on this question and share the experiences, people and values that have influenced their journeys.

Sara Rosales Montalvo of Jazwares, Stephanie Moran of The Walt Disney Company – Marvel Consumer Products and Claudia D. Sandoval of Melissa & Doug, LLC shared stories of family, heritage, perseverance, opportunity and forging their own paths.

Their stories remind us that leadership is shaped not only by where our careers take us, but by what we bring with us along the way.
In our latest LinkedIn article, we bring their perspectives together and celebrate the cultural experiences that continue to shape leaders across our community. 💜

Read their stories and join us in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month on our LinkedIn page!

Today, on World Mental Health Day, we’re reminded that supporting one another goes far beyond career growth.

At WiT, we believe in the power of community to create meaningful connections, foster a sense of belonging and remind us that we don’t have to navigate the challenges of work and life alone.

Take a moment today to check in with yourself and with the people around you. A conversation, a connection or simply making space to listen can make a difference.

Here’s to building an industry where we support one another as professionals and as people. 💜

10/07/2026

This Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re celebrating the WiT community whose cultural experiences continue to influence how they lead today. 💜

For Claudia D. Sandoval, Vice President of Product Development & Packaging at Melissa & Doug, LLC, the answer begins with her grandmother, Maria Idalia, lovingly known as Nina.

In 1957, Nina left the Dominican Republic for the U.S. in search of a better life. Without speaking English or having a formal education, she built a career as a seamstress in New York, bringing strength, perseverance and determination to everything she did.

It’s an example Claudia has carried throughout her own career in the toy industry, shaping how she approaches her work, the teams she leads and the opportunities she helps create for others.

How have your cultural experiences shaped your leadership? 💜

✨ Empowering women to navigate what’s next.

WiT is proud to partner with Nancy Zwier of CMO Coaches to offer WiT Empowerment Group Coaching, an exclusive opportunity designed to support engaged WiT members as they navigate career transitions and define their next chapter.

Through small-group coaching, participants are exploring everything from authenticity and personal values to leading with strengths, expanding their networks and leveraging the power of metrics.

For participant Jaclyn Clark, the experience has already sparked meaningful reflection:

“In just a few short weeks, I feel like the exercises and sessions have already led to a profound level of self-reflection and enlightenment that I would not have achieved on my own.”

This is what the WiT community is all about: creating spaces where women can learn from one another, build meaningful connections and feel empowered to move their careers forward.

Thank you, Nancy, for bringing your expertise to our community and to our participants for showing up for themselves and one another. 💜

What We Bring With Us 💜

Throughout Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re celebrating the stories, experiences and values that members of the Women in Toys, Licensing and Entertainment community carry with them throughout their careers.

For Stephanie Moran, Lead Creative Designer, The Walt Disney Company – Marvel Consumer Products, that means having the courage to follow an unexpected path.
Growing up as the eldest first-generation Latina, Stephanie thought her career choices were already mapped out. But with the support of her family, she turned her creativity into a career and ultimately found her way to Marvel.

Today, Stephanie carries that lesson into her work by betting on ideas that may not look “expected,” knowing they might be the ones that lead somewhere better.

This Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re proud to celebrate the stories behind our community and what we bring with us.
