Changing Lives, One Heartfelt Partnership at a Time!
We're thrilled to share the incredible impact of the Cattle Dispersal Project in partnership between CHSNAF-MWDC and Kiwanis Club of Nueva Ecija Movers. Through our efforts to keep the spirit alive, this project was introduced to you in October 2022 through our bingo fundraising. Now, we would like to show you how it made a difference in the lives of families living in extreme poverty in the Philippines. With the help of Kiwanis, we implemented the project, and we are praying that this initiative will continue to be a legacy for both organizations.

In 2021-2022, the Metropolitan Washington, D.C. Chapter of the College of the Holy Spirit of North America, Inc. (CHSNAF-MQDC) partnered with the Kiwanis Club of Nueva Ecija Movers on the pilot program "Cattle Dispersal Program" to assist extremely poor families in Laur, Nueva Ecija. This program allowed these families to own cows, supporting their livelihoods for years.
Kiwanis Club provided CHSNAF-MWDC with a survey to identify families in need of cow ownership, along with maintenance and training programs for cow owners. They offered training on cow care, milk production, and breeding. MWDC conducted a successful bingo fundraising event, raising enough funds for Kiwanis Club to procure three cows from the chapter. The project was led by Jemma Puno Samano, the [2020-2022] President of Kiwanis Club of Nueva Ecija Movers, and Eloisa Mesina Cabanayan, the [2020-2022] President of the MWDC Chapter.
Now, with the cows purchased, CHSNAF-MWDC is delighted to see this program significantly benefiting extremely poor families. Kiwanis Club will provide progress reports, and decisions on further cow purchases will be made in the coming months. Two donors funded the purchase of two female cows and are now the "parents" of these cows. More information on the Cow Dispersal Program in Laur, Nueva Ecija, will be shared as it becomes available.
Together, we're making a real difference in the lives of extremely poor families. Thank you to our amazing donors for lighting up the path of hope and change. Let's continue to shine bright!
