May was National Foster Care Month, and to honor youth in foster care, we’re sharing a glimpse into the lives of two incredible siblings: Nadia and Nickita. 🤍

While their adoption plan means finding separate families, the bond they share is unbreakable. They have a deep love for one another and need families who will help them stay connected as they transition into young adults.

We are so grateful to have the incredibly talented as this week’s Heart Gallery NYC Photographer of the Week! ❤️

Kerri is a Brooklyn-based food and lifestyle photographer, creative director, and ceramicist whose work is as soulful as it is stunning. With over 15 years of experience in New York City’s food and media world, she brings a rare depth of vision to everything she shoots — from intimate editorial moments to high-profile commercial campaigns.

You may have seen her gorgeous work in the pages of the New York Times Cooking, where she has both photographed and consulted on their iconic studio. Her client list spans from Hearst and Food Network to Vogue Singapore and the Wall Street Journal — and that’s just scratching the surface.

When she’s not behind the lens, Kerri has her hands in clay — literally — creating ceramics that reflect the same warmth and intention she brings to her photography. She is a true multi-hyphenate creative and we are beyond honored to feature her work in our gallery.

Hearts full, smiles bright! ✨ We recently spent an incredible day capturing the light and personality of these resilient kids, beautifully photographed by Brian L. Jones.

Get to know them:
    •    Nickita (13): A charming, active teen who loves sports, playing the flute, and her faith. She needs a structured family that will support her sibling connections.
    •    Nadia (14): A determined, humorous leader who loves crafting and dancing. She will thrive with an active family who can provide positive guidance and manage her medical care.
    •    Jordan (16): A kind, history-loving teen who enjoys working with his hands. He is looking for a patient, LGBTQIA-affirming home (ideally with cats!) that values sibling bonds.
    •    Joe-el (15): A fun, energetic teen on the autism spectrum who loves cars and video games. He needs an engaging family to provide structure and encouragement.
    •    Faith: A loving, responsible sports fan motivated to build her independent living skills. She dreams of a structured family that loves quality time and animals.
    •    Noelle: A carefree, unique girl with severe special needs who loves music and Disney. She needs a deeply committed, patient family with a strong support network.

Every child deserves a safe, permanent place to call home. ❤️
