Inwood Manhattan Little League

Inwood Manhattan Little League Little League for kids ages 5-18 Inwood-Manhattan Little League Baseball Inc. is one of the oldest little leagues in New York City, founded in 1950.

We are a baseball league affiliated with Little League International Inc., Babe Ruth Baseball and Cal Ripken Baseball. We teach sportsmanship, teamwork and cooperation through an organized baseball programs. We serve approximately 800 kids and teenagers in the Inwood, Washington Heights and Marble Hill area annually. They range in age from 5 to 18 years old and are comprised of communities’ demogr

aphics for Inwood, Washington Heights and Marble Hill and other parts of New York City. Our programs are targeted to boys and girls in these neighborhoods. Their baseball skills, which we develop, also range from beginner to players good enough to play on high school teams and/or college teams as well as pro-level. Our home fields are in Inwood Hill Park. Our older players (13 and up) play some inter-league with teams from other leagues in district 23 (Manhattan and West Bronx). In July, our all-star teams participate in the international Little League tournament. Our teams are often district champions and our older players have reached the State semifinals numerous times. We have a separate summer league in which our teams sometimes travel to play in places like New Jersey, Westchester, Connecticut and Brooklyn. We also have a separate instructional indoor winter program where a limited number of our younger players learn and practice baseball in a local school gym on Saturdays from October to February. Inwood Little League is the oldest Little League in New York City. It was founded in 1950. Thousands of kids have gone through our league learning baseball and having fun. Some have gone on to play professionally. Our most famous player is basketball great, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. The bulk of our income is from registration fees. Additional money comes from sponsors, grants and fund-raising events. All our managers, coaches and league officials are volunteers.

With only one loss during the regular season and dominating wins of 16-1, 14-1, and 12-0 it was only fitting that Ridgewood Bank cap off their 2026 Seniors season by winning the championship via the “Mercy Rule” (leading by 10 runs after 5 innings).

It wasn’t a matter of “if” Ridgewood was going to win the championship but “when.”

Congratulations to Dichter Pharmacy for pushing Ridgewood to a series-deciding Game 3, which few thought was possible, considering Coach Argelis’ squad had an astounding 139 run differential.

Congratulations to Pizza Haven, your 2025 Inwood Little League Majors Champions! 🏆

Coach K and crew missed the playoffs last year, but came back with a vengeance in ‘26, only losing one game all year long, and putting an end to Kenny Bakery’s 4-year reign on top. 🍕

Hopefully Inwood Little League’s governing body will be merciful on all the coaches who broke dress code after an all-time memorable Saturday night! 🏆🏀

Pizza Haven has looking to win the 2026 Majors Championship. The Bucz were looking to extend the series to Game 3. Mother Nature had other plans. ☔️😞
