Back at Oldeani Secondary School. 🇹🇿 When Powering Potential’s solar-powered computer lab opened here in June 2023, students gained a new place to learn, practice digital skills, and access educational resources.

This summer, our Executive Director Caitlin returned to Oldeani and saw students at work in the lab! 💻 Installing technology is only the beginning. What matters is what students and teachers are able to do with it over time: using the tools, building skills, and making digital learning part of everyday education.

These photos are a glimpse of that process continuing. ☀️

Behind every school visit, every computer lab, and every lesson supported by technology is something less visible: the people who keep the work moving! 🇹🇿

During her recent visit to Tanzania, our Executive Director, Caitlin, spent time with colleagues on the ground: the local team whose knowledge, relationships, and day-to-day work connect Powering Potential with the schools and communities we serve.

The technology may be what you see in a computer lab. But partnership is what makes it useful and sustainable: coordinating with schools, supporting educators, maintaining systems, solving problems, and continuing the work long after installation day.

A few moments from behind the scenes in Tanzania, and a reminder that lasting programs are built together!

Back from Tanzania, and bringing home more than a few photos. 🇹🇿 Our Executive Director, Caitlin, recently spent time on the road visiting schools, reconnecting with our Tanzanian partners at the Potential Enhancement Foundation (PEF), and seeing the work up close.

These snapshots capture some of what happens between the official school visits: long roads, conversations with local colleagues, familiar faces, reminders of projects past, and even a little roadside problem-solving! 🚙

They’re also a reminder that Powering Potential’s work is built on relationships. Our Tanzanian partners, educators, students, and school communities are the people carrying this work forward, with technology opening up more ways to learn and build digital skills.

Caitlin came back with many more moments and stories to share. We’ll be bringing you along over the next few days. ☀️💻

Our Executive Director, Caitlin Kelley, is on the road in Tanzania! 🇹🇿 Next stop: Qang'ded and Mang'ola Secondary Schools, two of PPI's newest partner schools. Getting there even meant a quick pause for some unexpected traffic!

Moments like these are all part of the journey, and we can't wait to share more from these school visits.

Our Executive Director, Caitlin Kelley, is in Tanzania! 🇹🇿

After a productive trip to Karatu, Caitlin met with our local team to share updates, reflect on the visit, and talk about what’s ahead. We’re looking forward to sharing more from her visits with schools, partners, and the amazing people who make this work possible.
