It’s becoming harder than ever for older adults and people with disabilities to choose home-based care.

Medicaid cuts and new paperwork requirements are gutting the home care system millions of New Yorkers depend on.

The New York budget is an important step toward protecting healthcare access across the state.

This is a win – but the work continues. Healthcare is a moral necessity and a lifeline for millions of New Yorkers.

When Washington passed the “Big Beautiful Bill” and made the biggest healthcare cuts in history, we knew we had a fight on our hands.

Almost 10 months later, New York now has a state budget that commits over $2 billion to healthcare in order to protect us from the worst impacts of Trump’s cuts. Together, we fought to turn Code Red into All Clear.

The New York State budget didn’t address federal cuts to Essential Plan Coverage. Now, changes are coming.

Almost 450,000 New Yorkers will lose access to low- or no-premium insurance plans.

New York's FY27 budget includes more than $1.5 billion in new Medicaid investments for hospitals, nursing homes, and community healthcare providers across the state.

Thank you to everyone who showed up and took action throughout this campaign – and thank you to Albany for stepping up for New York's healthcare.

Healthcare affordability is still a challenge for many – so we'll keep fighting until every New Yorker can access quality, affordable care!

After months of pressure from healthcare workers, patients, and advocates, Governor Hochul and legislative leaders have reached an agreement on major healthcare investments in the state budget.

That happened because thousands of us stood together and demanded action. Our advocacy helped secure $2 billion in healthcare investments to support Medicaid, hospitals, healthcare workers, nursing homes, and communities across New York.

The fight to protect affordable healthcare in New York is far from over, but this win is a reminder that collective action can make a real difference.

David Ho, a Taiwanese American AIDS researcher, was among the earliest scientists to identify AIDS as a virus that attacks the body’s immune system 🦠. His pioneering work laid the foundation for combination antiretroviral therapy, including the introduction of protease inhibitors, a breakthrough that dramatically reduced AIDS‑related mortality and transformed the global response to the epidemic.
