I'm such a firm believer in the power of the collective. When we work together, learn together, and serve together, we can accomplish so much more.

Today, I had the privilege of visiting one of the DV shelters I work with to attend their annual Domestic Violence Awareness Month event. I met with survivors, shared my team's supportive services, and witnessed beauty and strength arise with each client I spoke with. Some danced, some shared poetry, and some encouraged their fellow survivors to never give up. However, ALL were an inspiration.

I'm blessed that I get to do this, every day as a career.

I Am FOREVER Grateful ♡

TODAY is the day we show our support for those who need it most, survivors of Domestic Violence, by wearing purple!

We do this to honor the lost, support those in the cycle, and celebrate those who found their way to break free. Make a decision today to as we all stand in solidarity in love and in hope for a brighter tomorrow.

[NIV] 1:19 So they two went until they came to . And it came to pass, when they were come to Bethlehem, that all the city was moved about them, and they said, Is this Naomi?

[NIV] Ruth 1:20 And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the hath dealt very bitterly with me.

If you read on, the never called her Mara - but instead Naomi. Though she wanted to rename herself her circumstance, the Bible didn't. Tests + trials are to do just that. Test and try us but not to change the person God created us to be at the core. Naomi saw herself as Mara but everyone else saw her as Naomi. Sometimes the hardest person to change your of you, is you.

: Don't get lost in the chaos + forget who you are + who created you to be. Live in the place, not in the bitter place.
