Facilitator spotlight! Meet John E. Doyle Jr.!
Educator, teaching artist, actor, and founder of the Arts Education Integration Agency. For 25+ years, John has used the power of storytelling and theatre to help students find their true voice, build confidence, and navigate life's toughest moments from classrooms to juvenile courts to fathers' support groups.

Meet Martin Urbach, music educator, former DSC Communications Co-Chair, and the guy who's taught over 10,000 students(!) to embrace the power of communal music practices as a tool for social justice. From bucket drumming to beatmaking to restorative justice circles, Martin does it all, and somehow still finds time to bake (and eat) cookies.

We are excited to introduce D. Colin, a multidisciplinary artist, poet, and author of Dreaming in Kreyol, as a facilitator for our upcoming Quarterly Conversation!
A Cave Canem, VONA, and New York State Writers Institute fellow, D. Colin's work centers storytelling as a pathway to healing and collective voice. The Moth, PBS, NPR, and Button Poetry have featured her internationally acclaimed work.

She currently serves as the YWCA of the Greater Capital Region's Poet Laureate.

Arts education shouldn't depend on zip code, budget cycles, or which programs survive the next round of cuts, but too often, it does. Across the country, community artists are stepping in where systems have often stepped back, proving that poetry, theater, and music aren't enrichment extras. They're infrastructure for literacy, confidence, and belonging.

This isn't a celebration for its own sake. It's a call to action for anyone who believes every student deserves the full spectrum of what education can offer.
