Will Trump's bail now be revoked in the three other jurisdictions where he is on bail? He now has nine criminal convictions, albeit misdemeanors, and terms of bail normally include that no arrests or criminal convictions while on bail.
Immigrants who cross the border without papers are only charged with misdemeanors. They are not charged with greater crimes and sometimes held for up to three years before their cases are decided. Being held for 3 years for a misdemeanor where and can only result in 30 days in jail sounds like cruel and unusual punishment.

The state budget is 14 days late and the Governor is trying to ram a dirty housing “deal” down the legislature’s throat. This so-called “deal” gives landlords million dollar tax breaks while taking rights away from millions of tenants
THE "DEAL" INCLUDES:
❌ Provides a financial incentive for landlords to harass out rent-stabilized tenants so they can raise the rent between $278 and $417 per month. The governor’s deal makes it especially profitable for landlords to push out long-term tenants, who tend to be seniors. Disgusting!
❌ Exempts MILLIONS of tenants from Good Cause Eviction, including exempting landlords with fewer than 10 units in their portfolio from Good Cause Eviction. Do you know how many units are in your landlord’s portfolio? The answer is, no one does, not even the state.
❌ Classifies apartments with rent over $3,500/month as ‘luxury’ apartments, also exempt from Good Cause Eviction
❌ Exempts all new buildings from Good Cause Eviction for 30 years!
❌ Limits Good Cause Eviction to New York City: all other cities and towns in the state would be forced to opt in to the law.
❌ Gives developers million dollar tax breaks to build housing barely anyone can afford

This isn’t a housing deal: it’s a giveaway to the real estate industry. Hochul is rushing to get this deal done. It’s your last chance to email and call your legislators and tell them to fight against this dirty deal. It takes a minute, what are you waiting for?
