Recently, New Eyes donated 1,062 eyeglasses to Friends of the Children of Lascahobas, Haiti, an organization that will help provide eye care for those in need in Lascahobas. The Hopital St. Gabriel in Lascahobas was built to provide the only place for the neglected Haitian town to receive much needed medical care. The Gift of Sight has sent volunteer doctors and staff every year to see patients in the town of 50,000 people where only one doctor made one annual visit.
