America is a capitalistic, hurry-up place. There is a lot of pressure on anyone embarking on a career to succeed and do it as soon as possible. Happily, when I see their résumés, it is because they have at last realized that this strategy is not securing them anything of value. They are ready to embark on a serious quest for a craft that will sustain them for the rest of their careers.

Whitman By Fire gives deep gratitude and thanks to Rebecca Abbott Emmy award winning filmmaker, Michael Imlay, Pocono Environmental Education Center, for all their invaluable help in creating this video. The Challenges of shooting this film in the dark were numerous, and could not have been done without their cooperation. Whitman By Fire will begin touring soon, so please stay tuned.

We are working on finalizing performances for the summer. We will also be heading into rehearsals in the fall for our companion indoor piece. We look forward to 2019, as we tour the country.
