September 11th, 2026. 25th anniversary of the horrific attacks upon the United States. Being that the METCA division is in NJ and NY, many of us have family and friends who were affected or taken from us on that horrific day. Our hearts and prayers go out to everyone who was lost and affected on this tragic day. Metropolitan Division never forgets. God bless the USA, our military, first responders and all the civilians who support and remember this historic and tragic day. Never forget.

A reflection on the last few days in our area.
Some of the reasons for being in this hobby started last Thursday when a plane landed in Newark Airport and two friends got out. Zac Elliott ( Jokers Trains) & Jay Escamilla ( 3rd Rail) They were quickly wisked through Jersey traffic and the coming days adventure began. Paraphrasing.
There were trips to train clubs, home layouts, home collections, museums, stores and points of interest.
There was food and beverages of all sorts, music and singing, conversation and laughter, joking and horse play.
There was gathering, friendship and jubilation. Mirth and merriment.
There was a celebration that encompassed about 70 people from all walks of life, with many others contributing to this pirate ship throughout the weekend. So looking back, hundreds of people enjoyed the F word. FUN. Say it, FUN. Live it, FUN. Enjoy it. FUN. A huge thanks to our skipper of this pirate ship, Captain Andy. Thank you.
