💛 Summer Update from our Founder & CEO !- We’ve been BUSY! 🎒📦

From assembling backpacks and preparing Fresh Start Bags to a major pickup of our First Pantry Boxes - so much is happening at Hearts of Gold, all because of YOU.

And we’re not slowing down. These programs are ongoing, and your support makes it possible to keep showing up for our moms and kids living in NYC shelters.

It's officially back-to-school season and the backpack assembly has begun!

Our Founder & CEO Deborah N. Koenigsberger is giving us a first look at this year's backpacks - from 3K to 8th grade! All this, so that children living in New York City shelters start the school year equipped, confident and excited to excel! When our moms know there's food on the table, (which means that they have what’s necessary to sustain their children), only then can they focus on their many other struggles.

In response to this vital and most basic of needs, we have expanded our services to include First Pantry Kits.

Every kit contains foods with which moms are able to make nutritious meals. It's a simple way to have profound impact.

This work only continues to be possible thanks to donors like you. We are truly grateful.

And to our volunteer tutors from the Hearts of Gold Club at Milburn High School in New Jersey, - Molly, Caleb, Justin Jocelyn - thank you for helping our students build confidence - one lesson at a time!

What a beautiful evening partnering with AWARE: Assisting Women through Action, Resources & Education for a night of giving back to community, style and massive impact!!

Thanks to everyone who came out, at Hearts of Gold, we are one step closer to our goal of equipping 650+ children with grade appropriate backpacks filled with the essential school supplies they will need to have a successful school year!
