Nuit Blanche New York Nuit Blanche New York (NBNY) designs, curates and produces installations of light, sound, and projection art.

We collaborate with leading contemporary artists to create immersive experiences that uniquely engage audiences. Our nighttime events explore new artistic mediums through site-specific interventions at the intersection of art, technology, and multimedia performance. An ambitious team of curators, designers and cultural entrepreneurs, we develop innovative platforms for artists to re-imagine the bu

ilt environment. Since 2010, we’ve produced large-scale events for civic, cultural, and brand partners that have attracted over 50,000 visitors. Our signature event, Bring to Light: Nuit Blanche New York, is a free contemporary art festival on the New York waterfront that takes place simultaneously with other “nuit blanche” events in cities around the world.

On May 16, 2014, Nuit Blanche New York transformed the Knockdown Center for Red Bull Music Academy’s “Hardcore Activity in Progress,” featuring appearances by the most extreme recording artists in metal, techno, jazz, classical, noise, hip hop, and beyond. The 50,000 square foot venue flickered with intense stroboscopic effects, reflected imagery, and manipulated projections--mirroring the action of the sound waves radiating through the cavernous space. This multi-layered, immersive design by Nuit Blanche New York (NBNY) incorporated projection mapping technology, live video, theatrical lighting, and creative integration of natural vibration, reflection and shadow.
