LUCY IS PAST HER DEADLINE. She can and will be killed any time without further notice.
Lucy is eight years old. She should be sleeping in a home, stretching out in the sun, going for walks, and knowing she is safe.
In the yard, Lucy has played with other large dogs. She has exchanged appropriate greetings, solicited affection from handlers, and engaged in play. She is described as social, friendly, and medium energy. When she feels comfortable, she play bows and seeks out connection.

Lucy does have needs. She needs an adult home, no small dogs, and someone willing to give her patience, confidence-building, and slow introductions. She can be initially concerned with unfamiliar handling, but her body softened after the evaluation, and she sought engagement with the handler.
She is not perfect. No dog is. She does not deserve to die.
Lucy is a living, breathing eight-year-old dog who is still trying. Still playing. Still wagging. Still looking for someone to see past the kennel and give her a chance.
Please do not wait. She is out of time.
Lucy needs an experienced adopter, a foster, or a rescue to step up now.
