Youth Take Charge educates high school students students about human trafficking through a two-pronged approach. First, our team presents an interactive workshop that includes an overview of the issue on both a global and domestic scale. This workshop is presented in high school classrooms, after-school programs, and community center programs on a one-time basis. Students inspired by the workshop
are then encouraged to form self-led anti-trafficking clubs at their high schools. To help them through the process, Youth Take Charge will mentor students by providing leadership and activist skill-training in addition to our curriculum on human trafficking. Youth Take Charge will not only engage students to think critically about the issue, but also equip them with the necessary tools to transform their education into thoughtful, self-led action.
