Taqiy Abdullah-Simmons led the Oklahoma Sooners to three NCAA team championships (2005, 2006 and 2008) and also won the 2007 NCAA All-Around title. Here’s why he calls the sport of gymnastics one of the greatest influences in his life.

We are excited to announce that our 30th Anniversary Benefit this evening will be emceed by longtime WHGF supporter and 2024 WHGF Benefit Honoree Andrea Joyce!

Andrea Joyce is a veteran NBC Sports reporter and has covered figure skating, gymnastics, short track, diving, swimming, and more across over 15 Olympic Games. She previously worked for CBS and ESPN, covering sports including basketball, tennis, and college football. A University of Michigan graduate, Andrea has also contributed to local TV and is a member of the Women’s Sports Foundation. She was one of the WHGF’s benefit honorees in 2024.
