Taiwanese American Professionals - New York (TAP-NY) TAP provides resources and programs that inspire and empower; develop and support professionals to become community-oriented leaders.

Our mission is to connect, develop, and represent the Taiwanese American community in the greater NYC area by providing programming and partnership opportunities, and by supporting and promoting the evolving Taiwanese American identity everywhere. TAP enhances the Taiwanese-American community by networking individuals interested in professional and career development, while emphasizing the preservation of Taiwanese American identity. We will be dining at a restaurant in Hell’s Kitchen. This is the perfect chance for you to come make new friends while enjoying some good food!

Registering for the Event: Because of heavy demand for our dinner events, we have a lottery process for sign-ups.

Sign-ups will close Tuesday, September 22nd at 11:59 pm ET, after which attendees will be randomly selected. Replying to our confirmation email, should you receive it, is required to attend.

Join TAP for an afternoon of pickleball and badminton at Kotofit in Long Island City!

We are excited to partner with Kotofit to host our Monthly Pickleball & Badminton Social. Whether you’re looking to meet new people, get active, or enjoy some friendly competition, this event is the perfect opportunity to spend a morning on the courts. Players of all skill levels are welcome, so come rally, have fun, and enjoy the great space that Kotofit has to offer.

Courts will be designated for different skill levels, including a beginner/learning court and an intermediate/advanced court for each of pickelball and badminton.

Space is limited, so we encourage signing up early.

Please note: Prior pickleball / badminton experience is encouraged but not required.

Celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival with TAP-NY! 🌕🥮

Join us for a cozy evening at McCarren Park to admire the moon, take in the NYC skyline, and enjoy a casual mooncake exchange with fellow TAP-NY members.

If you’d like to participate in the mooncake exchange, bring some mooncakes to share! There’s no set amount or type required, so bring your favorite, a childhood favorite, or something new you’ve been wanting to try. Feel free to bring any additional pastries/snacks or drinks you’d like to enjoy, too. (BYO blanket!!!)

All attendees must RSVP to attend.

We’ll update the exact meetup spot on the day of the event, so keep an eye out for an update!

Join TAP-NY and Dance Social Club (DSC) for Boba & Boogie, a fun and beginner-friendly dance workshop that blends movement and music.

Led by Tiffany Huang who fell in love with dancing in college by doing Kpop covers and performing. Dance to her is a creative outlet and connect with others.

To keep your energy up, we’ll be sampling Allie Beauty Protein’s Boba Milk Tea flavor, made with real black tea sourced from Nantou, Taiwan.

Learn how to make Snowy Skin Mooncake (冰皮月餅), a soft and chewy mochi-like mooncake served chilled, and Red Bean Mooncake (豆沙月餅), a classic mooncake filled with smooth, sweet red bean paste.
