Each year, HRTS Associates New York proudly hosts a signature event during the Tribeca Film Festival, bringing together members and guests from both coasts and across all segments of our industry. This year, JHRTS is partnering with our HRTSA counterparts to continue the momentum!

This gathering has become a highlight of the season - a space to connect, celebrate, build lasting relationships, and spotlight the incredible work of our members featured in the festival. We’re proud to continue this tradition in 2026 as we strengthen our vibrant, national HRTS community and champion the creative voices shaping the future of entertainment.

Last month, JHRTS-NY Board Members and Kathryn Loveless went behind the scenes with the brilliant for a masterclass on the anatomy of animation 🎨✨. Using her upcoming short film , as a case study, Eunice broke down the technical mastery and leadership required to manage elite creative teams from powerhouse studios like Netflix, Apple TV, and Dreamworks.

About Cameron:
Cameron Cavé is an independent producer and TV screenwriter focused on telling grounded, character-driven stories. He works across development and production, building original fictional projects while growing toward becoming a showrunner.

On his experience in the room:
My time in the HRTS Writer’s Room Program was an incredibly rewarding experience. I really enjoyed the collaborative environment and the chance to develop my voice alongside other writers, while gaining a deeper understanding of how a writers’ room operates. It will be a crucial part of my journey as I continue growing toward a career in television and showrunning.

Reminder to get your applications in for the JHRTS NY Writers Room 2026 season! ✍️🔥

This week we’re highlighting Colin Stokes , who joined us as a writer in season 3.

About Colin:
Colin Stokes is a writer living in Brooklyn. He is currently the Humor Editor at Now Voyager Magazine, and a contributor to The Onion, and he was also the Associate Cartoon Editor at The New Yorker from 2014-2023. He will be graduating from NYU Tisch’s Dramatic Writing MFA program in May 2026.

On his experience in the room:
I had a wonderful time participating in the JHRTS Writers Room. The collaborative process of adapting a show was an excellent learning experience, and I met some fantastic people.

JHRTS joined forces with the wonderful team at Gods Love We Deliver this Monday, spending the morning assembling food packages for people in New York affected by severe and chronic illness in need of cooked and home-delivered nutritious, medically tailored meals.

The time volunteering gave members a chance to give back to the city we all love so much.

Thank you for your commitment to the people you serve and offering us space and time to help a little bit with that.
