This is what the JHRTS Writers Room looks like ✍️

Now in its 4th year, our Writers Room brings together a small cohort of emerging TV writers for a mock simulation of a real TV writers room, where each writer is assigned an episode of the show we’re developing together, guided by working execs, producers, and script experts, with guest speakers from across the industry.

On Saturday, July 11, the cohort spent a full day breaking stories and developing characters in a beautiful space generously donated by Cutter Entertainment . Huge thank you to Hillary E. Cutter and the Cutter team Cutter Connections for hosting us and for supporting the next generation of writers 💙

Each year, HRTS Associates New York proudly hosts a signature event during the Tribeca Film Festival, bringing together members and guests from both coasts and across all segments of our industry. This year, JHRTS is partnering with our HRTSA counterparts to continue the momentum!

From a single spark of an idea to a final, polished conception ✨🎨

Last month, JHRTS-NY Board Members and Kathryn Loveless went behind the scenes with the brilliant for a masterclass on the anatomy of animation 🎨✨. Using her upcoming short film , as a case study, Eunice broke down the technical mastery and leadership required to manage elite creative teams from powerhouse studios like Netflix, Apple TV, and Dreamworks.

A huge thank you to Eunice for sharing her journey from elementary school teacher to a leading voice in animation!
