The Foundation is supporting the participation of some CSI students. The CUNY Service Corps began with a CSI student’s leadership in response to Superstorm Sandy.

More than 200 CUNY Service Corps students will be heading to Puerto Rico to help rebuild homes as part of New York Stand with Puerto Rico Recovery and Rebuilding initiative, launched last year by Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

We finally got to see the finished banner made for La Guelaguetza festival, though our awesome Expanding Audiences grant. The grant period is long over, but the work continues! We are really looking forward to our new ventures with La Colmena. Much thanks to Marlee and Jophra, the artists who led the project! 😘😃🎨🎨 This part of our programming was originally made possible by an Expanding Audiences and Cultural Principal Regrant from the Staten Island Arts, made possible with generous support from New York Community- Trust, The Staten Island Foundation, the Altman Foundation, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, and Time Warner.
