Staying true to our philosophy of autonomy and independence; every design created by the MIF uses open-source source coding, and open source hardware.

But what is Open Source?🤔💭

✴️Open-source is when the source code is available for users to view, edit, and modify freely.

✴️Open-hardware is the hardware version of open-source, where the plans and schematics are available for users to view, edit, and modify freely.

✴️We do this to ensure that we are producing revolutionary equipment, and that our users can have total control over its functionality and upkeep.

✴️Through this open source process, we can remove the need for a patent system by providing funding for the inventive process through grants and merit-based awards.

✴️As we progress and build upon our open-source creations, the M.I.F. desires to become included in the future administrations that clear mobility equipment by thoroughly and thoughtfully performing extensive risk assessments, and developing a strong set of mobility ramifications/protocols.
