Call for Teaching Artists | CUNY Creative Arts Team
The CUNY Creative Arts Team is holding auditions on Monday, September 12, 2022 from 11am to 1pm.
We’re Looking For strong facilitators, performers and curriculum builders who work well collaboratively. CAT Actor-Teachers work with participants using interactive drama tools to explore social and academic issues. We are hiring to fill positions in various programs. All positions are part time, beginning in late September/early October and spanning most of the 2022 -2023 school year. For info on our hiring programs please see the links below:

About CUNY Creative Arts Team | Founded in 1974, Creative Arts Team is a program of CUNY that uses the power of drama to inspire young people to grow and learn—socially, emotionally, and intellectually. CAT puts participants at the center of its work, using drama as a tool to create meaning from the world around us, deepening understanding of our lives, and making connection with our communities. Some of our work has an explicit academic aim (literacy skills, history, social studies, etc.), while all of it focuses on social/emotional learning, critical consciousness, and self-efficacy. CAT’s Literacy Through Drama (LTD) program is anchored in using drama to examine the world; in doing so, participants are provided opportunities to explore social and academic literacy.
