Birthright Israel Excel is a prestigious business fellowship that begins with a summer internship in Israel and continues in the years after as a community focused on professional development and personal growth. Birthright Israel Excel is a highly selective business fellowship that starts with a summer internship in business or tech in Tel Aviv for a select number of talented Jewish college soph
omores, juniors, and seniors. During the program, Birthright Israel Excel Fellows intern at prominent Israeli companies with global reach from a wide selection of industries, including biotech business development, consulting, cyber tech, engineering, finance, marketing, software development, startups, and venture capital. Excel Fellows attend a speaker series 3X per week during the summer with distinguished Israeli leaders from business, technology, politics and philanthropic organizations on a broad range of topics including: leadership, Jewish identity, the global economy, and teamwork. Upon completion of the summer program, Excel Fellows continue to network together to expand both their leadership and business acumen and join an exclusive community of future international Jewish business and technology leaders. Birthright Israel Excel Fellows live in double occupancy housing with kitchenettes and have opportunities to explore the city of Tel Aviv and travel throughout the country on their own during free weekends. Participants are paired one-on-one with an Israeli peer who helps navigate the culture and lifestyle of Israeli society. These peers are integrated into the Birthright Israel Excel evening and weekend programming throughout the summer. Birthright Israel Excel was created to develop the next generation of Jewish business leaders. The vision of this program is multi-dimensional: to deepen the ties of participants to the State of Israel so they emerge as future Jewish leaders who want to preserve the identity, heritage, and welfare of the Jewish community; to encourage the next generation of international Jewish business leaders to strengthen the future of global corporate policy towards the State of Israel; and to foster the development of a think tank of innovative ideas with collaboration between international and Israeli companies. Upon completing the fellowship in Israel, the Birthright Israel Excel Fellows will enter the post-fellowship stage of the program in the countries where they reside. As they return to their universities, the students will become part of the Birthright Israel Excel Leadership Network and participate in annual gatherings, regional activities, as well as events to continue their leadership and professional development. Through this network, the participants will meet with prominent Wall Street figures and corporate CEOs who are leaders in their Jewish communities as well as political policy and decision makers. These meetings generate a forum of multi-generational interaction between successful mentors who have a major impact on the world economy and the aspiring business leaders who are fellows of Birthright Israel Excel. The goal of Birthright Israel Excel is for the participants to deepen their understanding of the connection between their Jewish identity and the State of Israel, their corporate and political involvement in the US, and their personal and business success. The program creates a close-knit network of next generation Jewish business leaders around the world. For more information go to www.BirthrightIsraelExcel.com or email [email protected].
