New York athletes wrapped up an outstanding week at the 2026 USATF National Junior Olympic Championships in Norwalk, California!

New York athletes earned 24 All-American honors (top-eight finishes) while competing against the nation's best young athletes.

• Aisha Wajid (Girls 15–16) – 2nd 800m; 4th 1500m
• Charlotte Codrington (Girls 7–8) – 2nd 1500m; 5th 800m
• Mariam Wajid (Girls 13–14) – 2nd 3000m; 3rd 1500m; 6th 800m
• Kane Poje (Boys 17–18) – 2nd Shot Put; 2nd Hammer Throw
• Joakeem Stewart (Boys 15–16) – 3rd Long Jump
• VO2Max TC Girls 13–14 4×800m Relay – 3rd
• Hudson McGuire (Boys 9–10) – 4th 800m; 5th 1500m
• Kairi Gillespie (Girls 7–8) – 4th 800m; 8th 400m
• Khloe Khan (Girls 15–16) – 5th 100m
• Si'myra Daley (Girls 13–14) – 5th 400m
• Morgan Codrington (Girls 9–10) – 5th 1500m
• Madison Praylow (Girls 17–18) – 5th Triple Jump; 8th 400m Hurdles
• Nalo Gandy (Boys 15–16) – 6th 200m
• Aria Boschen (Girls 13–14) – 6th 2000m Steeplechase

Bolling (100m, 200m) and Boschen (2000m Steeplechase) set new New York Association records in their events.

VO2Max TC had an especially impressive week, highlighted by multiple All-American performances from Aisha Wajid, Mariam Wajid, Charlotte Codrington, Morgan Codrington, Aria Boschen, and the club's girls 13–14 4x800m relay team.

Led by Salif Mane's dramatic national title in the triple jump, USATF New York athletes captured 7 national championships, 2 silver medals, and 4 bronze medals at the 2026 USATF Outdoor & Para National Championships in New York City.

The 2026 USATF National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships get underway this morning in Norwalk, California, and competition continues through Sunday.

Best of luck to the 61 New York athletes, who will compete in 122 event entries against 6,308 athletes from all 50 states.
