Presenting at the AJS Annual Conference? Apply for Travel & Dependent Caregiver Grants from the AJS and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum now.

AJS Travel & Dependent Caregiver Grants
Priority Deadline: August 6
Thanks to generous donors, the AJS offers travel and dependent caregiver grants to defray AJS Annual Conference costs for eligible members. In particular, we seek to support untenured faculty, graduate students, independent scholars without full-time employment, parents/guardians of individuals needing care during the conference, and international scholars who receive little to no institutional support for conference attendance. All accepted presenters for the 2026 AJS Annual Conference (Speakers, Respondents, Moderators, or Chairs) are eligible to apply; individuals may apply now, with grants conditioned on proposal acceptance.

Funds are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, after acceptance notifications are released. Submit an application now: myajs.associationforjewishstudies.org/awards/view/2026-TRAVEL-AND-DEPENDENT-CAREGIVER-GRANT

Conference Travel Grants from the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum
Deadline: June 15
These conference travel grants are available for scholars to attend a professional conference at which they are presenting their original Holocaust-related research.

AJS members are eligible to apply for these grants, even though AJS Annual Conference acceptance notifications will not be sent by June 15; the AJS and USHMM are working together on this.
