As August comes to an end, our commitment to nonviolence cannot end with it.

Throughout this month, we have talked about respect, healthy relationships, breaking harmful cycles, raising peacemakers, using our voices, supporting one another, and choosing love without control.

But nonviolence is more than a message we share. It is something we practice in the way we speak, listen, disagree, set boundaries, raise our children, support other women, and respond when something is not right.

Everyday choices help shape families, relationships, and communities where dignity and safety are protected.

August may be ending, but the work continues — in our homes, our relationships, and our communities.
💜 Practice nonviolence. Every day.

🔶🔶🔶

💜 Together we are stronger

Violence doesn't happen in isolation, and preventing it shouldn't be something women have to face alone.

Strong communities are built when women are heard, believed, supported, and given the space to thrive. When one woman finds her voice, she can encourage another to find hers. When we refuse to normalize disrespect, intimidation, or abuse, we help create safer environments for everyone.

Community matters. A friend who listens. A neighbor who notices. A mentor who encourages. Women who stand beside one another instead of looking away.

Nonviolence grows when respect and dignity become values we protect together.

✨ Support. Listen. Stand beside her.

🔶🔶🔶

✨ Apoya. Escucha. Acompaña.

💜 Love never justifies violence

Violence in a relationship doesn’t always begin with physical aggression. Sometimes it appears as jealousy disguised as love, control presented as concern, or intimidation called “protection.”

Constantly checking where someone is, deciding who she can see, demanding access to her phone, or making her afraid to say “no” are not signs of love. They are forms of control that can gradually take away freedom, confidence, and dignity.

Healthy love makes room for trust, boundaries, independence, and disagreement. 🌱 Nonviolence means choosing respect even when we feel angry, jealous, frustrated, or disappointed.

Love should never require you to become smaller, quieter, or afraid in order to keep the peace.

✨ Love should make room for you to be yourself—not make you afraid to be yourself.

🔶🔶🔶

💜 Our voice has power

Sometimes violence continues because the behaviors around it become too easy to ignore, excuse, or dismiss as “none of our business.” Speaking up can help change that.

Using our voice does not always mean confronting someone directly. It can mean challenging a harmful comment, refusing to normalize controlling behavior, checking in with a woman we are concerned about, supporting someone who chooses to speak, or helping connect her with the right resources.

When communities make it clear that humiliation, intimidation, control, and violence are not acceptable, we begin to change the environment that allows abuse to remain hidden.

One voice can challenge what has been normalized. Many voices can help transform a community.

✨ Use your voice. Stand for dignity.

🔸🔸🔸

Usar nuestra voz no siempre significa confrontar directamente a alguien.

✨ Usa tu voz. Defiende la dignidad.

🧡 ASKING FOR HELP IS AN ACT OF COURAGE

No woman should have to face violence alone.

Reaching out can be difficult. Fear, uncertainty, shame, or simply not knowing what will happen next can make asking for help feel overwhelming. That’s why the way we respond when someone chooses to confide in us matters.

Sometimes support begins with something very simple: listening. Not judging. Not questioning her choices. Not rushing to tell her what she “should” do.

Listen. Believe her. Ask what she needs. Remind her that she deserves to be safe, respected, and supported.

Strong communities are built when women know they don’t have to carry difficult experiences alone. We may not have all the answers, but we can be a safe person, a listening ear, and a bridge to the support she needs.

🧡 Listen. Believe. Support.

🔸🔸🔸

🧡 Escucha. Cree. Apoya.

💜 **Raising peacemakers**

Children are always learning from us—not only from what we tell them, but from what they see us do.

They notice how we respond when we’re angry, how we handle disagreements, whether we listen or interrupt, whether we apologize when we’re wrong, and how we treat others when things don’t go our way. Everyday moments become lessons. 🌱

When children see adults communicate with respect, manage strong emotions without hurting others, and work through conflict with patience, they learn that disagreement doesn’t have to become aggression.

We won’t handle every situation perfectly. But recognizing a mistake, saying “I’m sorry,” and choosing to try again can teach a powerful lesson about responsibility, empathy, and respect. 💜

Through our example, we help shape the way the next generation will communicate, love, disagree, and resolve conflict.

✨ **Be the example you wish you had.**

🔶🔶🔶

💜 **Formando pacificadores**

💜 **Breaking the cycle is possible**

Sometimes, the behaviors we grow up around begin to feel normal simply because they are familiar. Shouting, controlling, humiliating, or responding to conflict with aggression can become patterns that pass from one relationship to another, and even from one generation to the next.

Our past does not have to determine how we treat others today. 🌱

We can learn healthier ways to communicate, manage conflict, set boundaries, and show respect. We can teach our children that disagreement can be handled without aggression and that love should always be rooted in respect, safety, and care.

Breaking the cycle means acknowledging what happened while making intentional choices so that what hurt one generation does not have to be repeated in the next. 💜✨

🌿 The change can begin with you. Choose one pattern worth changing, one conversation worth having, or one healthier response you can practice today.

**A different story can start here.**

🔶🔶🔶

💜 Respect should never make you afraid.

Healthy relationships are built on trust, not fear. Whether with a partner, a friend, a family member, or a coworker, respect should make you feel valued, heard, and safe.

If you constantly feel pressured, intimidated, or afraid to express what you think, something is out of balance. True respect does not demand silence. It creates space for honest conversations, different opinions, and mutual understanding.

Everyone deserves relationships where they can be themselves without fear of rejection, humiliation, or control. Respect is not something to earn through fear. It is something we choose to give one another.

Today, encourage respect in every relationship. Help create spaces where people feel safe to speak, listen, and grow together. 💜

🔶🔶🔶

💗 NONVIOLENCE BEGINS IN THE HEART

Over the past several months, we have reflected on values that strengthen women, families, and our communities. This August, we invite you to take the next step with us by focusing on a topic that touches every life: nonviolence.

Peace is not built overnight. It grows through the choices we make every day.
Violence does not always begin with a raised fist. Sometimes it starts with words that shame, constant criticism, controlling behavior, or comments that make someone feel small. The way we speak can strengthen another person or slowly diminish their confidence.

Creating a culture of peace begins long before conflict appears. It begins when we choose kindness, listen with empathy, and treat every person with dignity, even when we disagree.

Today, choose words that build up instead of tear down. Together, we can help create a culture where respect becomes part of everyday life. 💗

🔸🔸🔸
