Hey guys! If your plans for ringing in the New Year are not yet made...The Tropical Paradise bash is a winner you wouldn't regret. It's their 5th annual New Year's Eve Ball and they really do it right. Lambert and the Matadors, NY's best Caribbean band headline the music menu, along with DJ Mad Man Maddy.

STELLAR CAST FOR 10TH ANNIVERSARY CARIBBEAN COMEDY BLAST!!!

Hey guys, there's bunch of top-of-the-line comedy talent on board for this year’s celebration of the 10th anniversary of “Kings & Queens of Caribbean Comedy”, that will roll out Saturday evening October 29 at Brooklyn Center for Performing Arts, Brooklyn College. Showtime is 8:00 PM.

Wall-to-wall laughs are guaranteed from this lineup, in which NIKKI is joined by TREVOR EASTMOND, SPRANGALANG, ERROL FABIEN, LOUIE ANTOINE, FATMAN GEORGE, GLORIA WILLIAMS, CLIFFORD LEARMOND, and two HBO veterans, SINCK and NIKKI CARR. In true Pan-Caribbean style the performers hail from Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, St. Vincent and Grenada. It may be Halloween weekend, but it will be timeout for belly laughs at Brooklyn Center. Take a break from the stress, people!

Hey brethren -- Just reminding about two upcoming happenings that need to be on your calendar if they aren't already. First, our T&T Folk Arts Institute's Panel Discussion on the Steel Band Panorama, in conjunction with Medgar Evers College, this Thursday (4/28) evening at Medgar Evers, in the Mary Pinkett Lecture Hall, 1637 Bedford Avenue (between Carroll & Crown), Bklyn.

The next Folks Arts Institute forum at Medgar Evers College will be a panel discussion centered on the theme we addressed in our March symposium. Namely the panorama format and whether it should be somehow altered.
This will be Thursday April 28th, at 7 p.m.
