The Too Alive Tour Inc. We're a nonprofit organization focusing on career awareness, anti-bullying and wellness for youth. The Too Alive Tour Inc.

is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. We offer a unique approach to positive self-imaging, anti-bullying, and career awareness for young people. Through the use of core Social and Emotional Learning competencies to inform our programming and community development efforts, we focus on varying forms creative expression, skill building and career-focused programming to create viable pathways for participants to turn their dreams into reality. Our Mission is to instill principles of confidence, self-efficacy and positive self-imaging in young people to encourage their personal and professional trajectory.

Intern spotlight: meet Attis Lagos!

This summer, Attis joined The Too Alive Tour on our Operations track, embedded at Prime Produce in Hell's Kitchen, and he showed up ready to work. From coordinating program logistics / streamlining our scheduling systems, participating in in-building projects and updates. He took on the behind-the-scenes work that keeps everything moving.

What we loved most? He came in wanting to level up, and he did. Attis sharpened his skills in project coordination, communication, problem-solving under pressure and by the end he was running Too Alive tasks independently all while building cohesive working relationships with our Prime Produce partners 🗽

The outcome: Smoother workflows our team still uses / a completed project that directly supported our youth programming! That's what growth looks like 🏆

Honesty Hour: coding kept me in business through the Pandemic 💻

I took that language and plugged it straight into my digital marketing work via - I was building pages, creating content, and giving small businesses in the area a real digital fingerprint. They had no online presence, so I built it. Content schedules, shoots, the whole thing.

Six weeks with this crew and I’m still smiling 🎬

We just wrapped The Too Alive Career Experience with our NYC SYEP cohort, training up across three tracks: Operational Management, Studio & Events, and Digital Marketing / Social Media Management.

They pulled up from all over the city, sharpened their skills through our Ironclad Intern Course, jumped straight into live projects, and built real relationships with business owners and like-minded peers along the way.

This became more than working with me to me get the work done. They brought their own ideas and their own way of thinking, and more than a few times they showed me a better route than the one I was on. 💡

This is the next generation of leaders....& Proud doesn’t even cover it. 💫

We asked one of our students how their generation could influence the next and the answer was pretty simple.

Because they started learning professionalism so young, they already have a few years of experience to draw from & that means they don't have to wait to give back. They can start right now teaching anyone coming up behind them. Showing them the ropes, pointing them toward good programs, helping them get ahead before life rushes them into it.

That's the heart of it: you don't need a title or a degree to be a mentor. You just need to reach back and bring someone with you.

One of our students said something that stuck with us: work-based learning gave them a jump start on seeing the real world. More importantly, on seeing just how many careers and opportunities are actually out there.

That last part is the key though...The opportunities were always there. What changed was their ability to recognize them & to look at the world and think "I could do that… and that… and that too." That shift in perspective is everything. Once a young person realizes how wide their options really are, they stop shrinking their dreams to fit the little they've been shown.

We don't always think of "networking" as something a high schooler needs. But one student reframed it beautifully.

For them, learning to talk to people through their CTE program was more than events and handshakes. It's preparation for walking into a college professor's office and confidently saying, "I need extra help, I need a little support." They've realized that respect is a two-way street: show it & you'll earn it back, and everything gets easier from there.

That's a life skill disguised as a soft skill....And it's one they'll carry long after the classroom.
